Bread of Healing Free Clinic
Who We Are
The Bread of Healing Clinic is a free medical clinic designed to serve low-income people who experience barriers to accessing ongoing health care. We are a unique faith-based collaboration that directly addresses a crucial human need. The clinic has been aptly described as “more than just a health care provider – it’s a sanctuary of hope, compassion, and healing for the city’s most vulnerable residents.”
UNITY Has A Personal Connection!

As Medical Director, Dr. Barbara Horner-Ibler (Pastor John Horner-Ibler’s wife), plays a vital role with the Bread of Healing Clinic. On January 17, 2025, she was featured when this partner was highlighted on TMJ4 News: “Healing Milwaukee: Bread of Healing Clinic bridges gaps in healthcare for the uninsured; Providing medical, dental, and behavioral health services, the clinic offers hope and care to the city's most vulnerable residents.” Read more about Dr. Horner-Ibler’s influence and the clinic’s incredible work by clicking here.

Provide Gifts Through UNITY's Angel Trees
“Angel Trees” at our COL and CTK campuses are an easy way to give at Christmastime. Each tree is adorned with tags for small thank you gifts for staff and residents at our partner ministries, as well as presents for kids at our partner churches. Angel Trees are typically adorned with tags by Advent Fest (first Friday in December), with wrapped and labeled gifts due by mid-December.
