Growing Nearer To God

imageSundays, January 25, Feburary 1 & 8, 9:30 AM, COL Campus

Dave Meissner

1. What’s the purpose of Lent?  To help us grow spiritually closer to God.
2. What’s the pathway Lent provides to grow in Christ?   We’ll study the Bible and identify ways and options for personal spiritual growth.
3. What’s MY plan to grow in my awareness of God in my daily life during Lent?  By the end of the third week, we’ll each be able to answer that question.
The season of Lent, beginning on Ash Wednesday, February 18, is a gift to strengthen and further empower us in our faith-journey with Jesus.  Let’s take advantage of this three-week pre-Lenten Bible study to prepare and equip us for the journey.  No preregistration necessary.  Just bring your Bibles and a heart open to the Spirit!  (Led by Dave Meissner)

Day by day, day by day,
O, dear Lord, three things I pray:
To see Thee more clearly,
Love Thee more dearly,
Follow Thee more nearly,
Day by day, by day, by day.  (Robin Lamont)
