**THANK YOU to all those that helped make “Creation Station - Powered by Faith!” a huge success!** We had 133 young people participate in this four day event, and 80 volunteers that helped with every aspect to make it happen. The energy was off the charts, and we are grateful for everyone showing their love for our kids, and taking this faith journey with us.

UNITY Walking Group
Waukesha County, WI
June - August 2025

Come join UNITY Lutheran Church's newest group as they explore walking trails throughout Waukesha County every week, weather permitting. See the list below for the dates of our future excurions (All start times will be 10:00 AM unless otherwise noted):

• Monday, July 21 - Fox River Trail in Brookfield. Meet at COL.

• Wednesday, July 30. Meet at Blue Collar Coffee where we'll walk the local trails.

• Friday, August 8 - Elm Grove Village Park. Park in the lot near the library.

• Thursday, August 14 - Fox Brook Park. Meet at the Cross of Life Campus.

• Tuesday, August 19 - Fox River Trail in Brookfield. Meet at COL and we'll walk to Coffeeville.

• Monday, August 25 - Mount Zion Park Walking Trail. Park in the lot and we'll walk the trail.

East Coast Road Trip
Eastern Coast of Wisconsin
July 8-11, 2025

The ECRT is a highlight for our eighth-graders' passage through Confirmation! We travel up the ‘East Coast’ of Wisconsin camping at various state parks from Sheboygan to Door County. This year our kids and adult chaperones enjoyed hiking, swimming, cave exploring, traditional ECRT dinner fare, campfire devotions and much more! Check out the picture highlights from our trip.

Imago Dei Village Summer Camp
Clintonville, WI
July 13-18, 2025

Our First-Year Confirmation Students attended Imago Dei Village in Clintonville, WI for a week of fun, fellowship and growing in faith. For the first time, our Sunday School group (Grades 2-6) also came to spend the week (or half-week) at Imago Dei enjoying swimming, crafts, exploring nature, making new friends and learning more about God. Pastor Sherrie and Michelle Aprahamian were frequent visitors during the week bringing a taste of home as well as sharing in the fun! Thank you to everyone who kept our campers in your prayers!

Boundary Waters
Northern Minnesota
July 19-26, 2025

Every third year, the Sr. High youth takes a trip up to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (BWCA). This year we sent them and a group of UNITY Adults to enjoy the peaceful serenity of nature including canoeing, hiking, camping and growing in their relationship with God. Watch for more pictures of their experiences in the coming days here.

FREE Summer Concert Series
Christ the King Backyard Pavilion
July 2025

Come join us in the month of July for our FREE Summer Concert Series at Christ the King's Backyard Pavilion! Spend an evening in the cool shade of the Pavilion while you hear great music from a few of our talented local bands featuring several UNITY members. Attendance is free (goodwill offerings accepted) and you are free to bring your own chair(s), if you wish. In addition, food and beverages will be available for purchase beginning 1/2 hour before each concert with the proceeds going to the UNITY El Salvador Mission of Healing Trip in February of 2026. Contact Nicole Krause or Pastor Sherrie Lorbeck for more details and/or you're interested in participating in the mission's trip.

Here's our summer schedule:

• Wednesday, July 2 - 6:30 - 8:00pm: Kettle Moraine Alphorn group & Happy Hour Brass. We kick off our summer series with the Kettle Moraine Alphorn Group & Happy Hour Brass. The National Instrument for Switzerland dating back to the 1500’s, only a dozen or so people in the State of Wisconsin know how to play the Alphorn…and six of them are in the Kettle Moraine Alphorn Group. You may have seen them perform at German Fest or Das Fest at the Kenosha County Fairgrounds. Come and hear the rich, beautiful, unique sounds of the Alphorn followed by the artistic German styling of the Happy Hour Brass Ensemble, dressed in Bavarian garb.

• Wednesday, July 23 - 6:30 - 8:30pm: The Wunder-Bars. Get an early taste of Oktoberfest with the musical stylings of the Wunder-Bars featuring UNITY's own Marv Wunder on Accordion! Playing a variety of polka, waltzes and popular music from the 1970's, enjoy a night of beautiful German music. And for the first 50 people in attendance, there will be a sweet treat that you’ve likely never had before!

• Wednesday, July 30 - 6:30 - 8:30pm: Tonight Only. The popular local band returns to the CTK Pavilion which includes several UNITY members including Ty Hauser, Jay Hill, Mark & Nicole Krause! From Clapton, Santana and the Allman Brothers to Steely Dan and Tom Petty, their mix of blues, classic rock, and other favorites from the 60’s to the present has something for everyone. Tonight Only has regularly performed at the Granville Blues Fest, The Wilson Center for the Arts, Wisconsin State Fair and numerous other festivals and club venues.
