Fall 2026 Special Stewardship Campaign to Pay Off UNITY's Mortgage
A group of UNITY members has anonymously made significant gifts above and beyond their regular giving to help kick-start this effort and challenge the rest of us to join them.
Together, we have an opportunity to build on their generosity and make UNITY debt-free by the end of September. It is more than eliminating a bill; it is caring for what previous generations built and strengthening UNITY for the future.
Why This Matters
Paying off UNITY’s remaining mortgage eliminates our $5,171 monthly mortgage payment and frees those funds for the daily operations and ministries that make UNITY, UNITY.

Anonymous Donor Voices
Here are a few words from some of the anonymous donors of this drive:
UNITY has always been a place of strength, comfort and community for me through all seasons of life. The people and experiences here, especially the youth and music ministries that helped shape who I am today, have shown me what it means to be welcomed, loved and given a place to share your gifts. I give because I want others to have the opportunity to experience those blessings and for these ministries to continue impacting lives for generations to come.
We donated to UNITY Lutheran Church because it has been a spiritual home where our faith is strengthened, our hearts are renewed, and we are reminded of God’s grace in our lives. We give with gratitude so that this church may continue to worship faithfully, serve compassionately, and share the love of Christ with others.
We wanted to make an additional gift to support Unity because this community is important to us. We have met good friends and seen good works happen through Unity, and our gift is one small way to help continue that legacy for all families in this community.

Frequently Asked Questions
Got questions? Here are some answers to the most common questions about our Fall Campaign:
Cross of Life Lutheran Church, when buying the land for the current location, took out a mortgage to pay it off within time. We are a few years away from paying down the balance owed. In the meantime, a number of anonymous donors have pledged to cover half of the remaining amount if the congregation of UNITY Lutheran Church give the other half. We can use this initiative to fully cover the balance and become debt-free as a church.
Our monthly mortgage payment is $5,171 each month until paid in full. Paying off the balance now not only eliminates one bill but it allows us to use the funds normally committed to the mortgage to help cover the daily operations and ministries UNITY sponsors. It also allows UNITY to own the building and land free and clear.
The balance on the COL mortgage currently sits at $75,755. Our donors have pledged to cover half of the remaining balance with the difference to be matched by your contributions.
The best way to donate is to either scan the QR code above or click on this link. You can also drop off a check or make a card payment by stopping by our office during open hours or in the offering plate during service (make out the check payable to UNITY Lutheran Church and label "The Next Chapter" on the check and/or envelope.
If our total pledges exceed the targeted goal of paying off the mortgage completely, whatever is left over will be reallocated to the general fund and/or the deficit.
